Our Story
Roots of Life Learning Cottage was born out of a mother's journey.
When my daughter, was born ten weeks premature, weighing just 2 pounds and 14 ounces, I entered a world I never expected. Through early intervention services, therapy appointments, and countless conversations with professionals, I began learning how every child develops differently and how important it is to meet children where they are.
As she grew older, I discovered that traditional classrooms were not the right environment for her. The large class sizes limited individualized instruction, and rigid schedules often left her overwhelmed rather than encouraged. I watched her confidence diminish as she struggled in an environment that wasn't designed for the way she learned. Those experiences reshaped everything I believed about how children learn.
I began asking questions. What if every child was truly known? What if learning was hands-on, meaningful, and joyful? What if families had another option?
